Nvidia have announced the second generation of Ray Tracing hardware and the details are better than expected. Due for launch on 17 September they are expected to provide a significant upgrade over the ‘Turing’ based cards that came out 2 years ago. The new ‘Ampere’ based cards show signs of being up to twice as quick as the current generation in certain titles and are significantly less expensive too.
